Colonial Beach "Aging In Place"

The Colonial Beach Foundation is proud to announce a grant to Colonial Beach "Aging In Place" for their incorporation and start up costs as a non-profit organization. Aging In Place members will support fellow seniors who need in-home assistance with daily living such as minor home repairs, errands and transportation needs. The members will also be aided by non-senior volunteers. Mrs. Sara Looney (acting chairperson) states that there are already about 25 friends and neighbors in Colonial Beach who have signed up to be part of this citizen powered organization.  Each of the members will pay a membership fee in order for the organization to be self perpetuating.   Once the incorporation papers are finalized there will more information available to the public.
